The National Register of Criminologists, established and managed by Istituto UNINTESS, is organised into two sections that admit professionals with different academic and professional backgrounds.

How to join

The two sections of the Register

Section A — Requires suitable academic credentials: a specialisation in psychiatry for graduates in medicine, or a degree in psychology, sociology, law, political science and related disciplines, together with a further specialisation in criminology. Enrolment in Section A certifies the qualification of Criminologist with specific academic training.

Section B — Open to professionals engaged in research and consultancy on crime and social control, even without the academic requirements of Section A, provided they can document continuous professional activity in the field.

Enrolment in the National Register of Criminologists confers the following benefits:

Digital enrolment diploma — Official certificate of membership of the Register, issued in digital format with legal validity.

Digital enrolment certificate — Digital certification valid for presentation in judicial, professional and academic settings.

Istituto UNINTESS adheres to a policy of documentary dematerialisation: paper certifications are no longer issued. All documentation is available exclusively in digital format.
